Hardware buttons mapping

Hello, I'm using this emulator. It's great, but I have one question. I have noticed that I can map the hardware buttons for the game, but it doesn't work like I want. The emulator recognises that I pressed the button only when I release it - it looks like this: I mapped jumping for green headphone, I'm pressing the button - nothing happens. I'm releasing the button - the character jumps. You know what I mean? It works like a single click, but what if I need to hold that button for more time, for example when I want the character to walk? Can you help me? I want the emulator to recognise the action when I press the button, not when I release it.
